Imagine – shamans from Nepal welcome shamans from the Southamerican Amazon at home on the rooftop of the world! Both parts eager to exchange their ancestral shamanic knowledge and willing to share their rituals, connections to plant-teachers and insights among each other and inviting interested participants from the West to take part in their first historical exchange between the Tiger and the Jaguar!
We are gratefull to make this happen.
Spiritual leaders from indigenous cultures of North- and Southamerica realized the necessity to combine forces in order to preserve their shamanic traditions from extinction. Since years, they organize meetings to exchange their ancestral shamanic knowledge; Intercultural meetings coined by „The Condor Meets the Eagle“.
In honour of this most important indigenous initiative and grace to long established deep friendships with shamans from both sides of the world we felt inspired to stimulate an intercultural exchange between Asia and Southamerica. Coined by „The Tiger meets the Jaguar“ – referring to the kings of the Nepalese and Amazonian-jungle.
Without the interest and cooperation from the shamans we intended to invite our project would have been doomed from the start. But no – Their eyes where sparkling when we presented our project „THE TIGER MEETS THE JAGUAR“.
Both seminar-weeks in Nepal are dedicated to the world-wide shamanic heritage. Mohan Rai from Nepal and Kajuyali Tsamani from Columbia embraced our project with open hearts and minds. We very much appreciate their cooperation.
Nowadays shamans are no longer secluded in tiny settlements high up in the mighty mountains of the Himalaya or deep down in the vast jungles of the Amazon. They are connected to the internet, travel around the world and are invited to international conferences.
It was at an international conference on shamanism, 2000 in Garmisch Partenkirchen, Germany, where the shamans from Nepal and Columbia whe had invited first met. Since that meeting they haven’t met again, although they kept track of each other through PSYCHOACTIVITY.
Not only the shamans from East and West will meet and exchange and work together. Two painters specialized in visionary art will do the same.
