Dhulikhel Mountain Resort

The seminars will be held at Dhulikhel Mountain Resort, a first class hotel, 34 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Dhulikhel is the first rural village to offer a breathtaking view of the Himalayas.
During the season of the seminars, the soaring peaks of the northeastern Himalayas are almost always visible from the resort’s fabulous vantage point.

Only one hour’s drive from Kathmandu, the resort offers a peaceful retreat from the city’s noise and pollution. Since its foundation, in 1981, the hotel management has planted a large variety of tropical trees, plants and flowers avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. The resort’s buildings and cabins, with double rooms constructed of red bricks with thatched roofs in the traditional style, blend harmoniously with the area’s natural beauty.

All cabins are surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and offer wonderful views of the Himalayas.

The double rooms have central heating, attached bathrooms and hot showers. Dhulikhel Mountain Resort features superb cuisine (Nepali, Continental and vegetarian food). The seminar fee includes three meals daily.

Climate

In November and December the weather is normally very clear and tropical-hot during the days but chilly and even cold in the evenings and nights.
We therefore recommend light cotton clothing, sun-protection lotions as well as a rain coat and/or umbrella and a sweater or a jacket for colder nights.
Comfortable walking shoes and sandals or slippers are also advisable.
